Privacy Policy
Mudawwin (مُدوّن) · Effective May 25, 2026
Short version
Mudawwin does not collect, transmit, or sell any of your data. Everything you write stays on your device.
What we collect
Nothing. Mudawwin has no accounts, no sign-in, no analytics, no tracking, no ads, and no third-party SDKs. We have no servers and we do not see your notes, tasks, folders, or any other content you create.
Where your data lives
All your notes, tasks, folders, and settings are stored locally on your iPhone using Apple's SwiftData framework. If you have iCloud Backup enabled on your device, your Mudawwin data is included in that encrypted backup along with your other apps — that backup is between you and Apple, and we have no access to it.
Spotlight search
Mudawwin adds your page titles and excerpts to your device's Spotlight index so you can find them from the iOS home screen. This index lives on your device. You can disable it at any time in the iOS Settings app under Siri & Search → Mudawwin.
Sharing
We do not share, sell, rent, or transmit your data to anyone, because we never receive it in the first place.
Children
Mudawwin is suitable for users of all ages and does not knowingly collect data from anyone, including children under 13.
Permissions
Mudawwin does not request access to your contacts, photos, microphone, camera, location, or health data.
Future iCloud sync
A future version of Mudawwin may offer optional iCloud sync so your notes appear on your other Apple devices. If and when that ships, sync will be opt-in, your data will travel only between your own devices through your private iCloud account, and this policy will be updated before the feature is enabled. Apple — not us — would handle that data under Apple's privacy terms.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version will be posted here with an updated effective date. Material changes will also be noted in the app's release notes.
